The Wide Angle Photo Club They are a non-profit group composed of photographers and people from Northwest Florida who are interested in photography. They meet once a month to "provide their members an opportunity to exchange ideas, develop new skills, and learn more about the art of photography." They welcome and invite guests to visit and "listen in" to their meetings.
Fellow Artists "The Crayon Man" Todd Alan I recently had the pleasure of meeting Todd Alan. He is an excellent artist, and is only getting better. Although he does some oil paintings, his true love is Crayola. Yes, I am talking about the crayons; they are no longer just for kids. Todd Alan can create beautiful pieces of art with the tools he prefers--Crayola crayons. You guys will love it, so check out his website.
Sharp Images This is my friend Brandon's new website. He has recently become interested in photography and has some pretty interesting stuff. Take a look at his site; you won't regret it!
Free Stuff Picasa It's a completely free photo editing program brought to us by Google! I love it and I know you will to. For more info go the the link above or you can check out the IN MY HEAD page where I gave an overview on it. This link also takes you to where you can download it.
Prints/Equipment B&H This place has everything! Their huge! Basically, they are a super-store in New York, NY, that deals specifically with photography, videography, and Pro Audio. They carry practically any camera you could dream of, along with a great variety in lenses. And don't forget accessories--you can never have too many of those right? I personally bought my camera from them online and got an awesome deal. It was at least $200 less than retail; at most $400 less. And get what? It was brand new! They are not inexpensive because their merchandise is cheap; they simply sell brand name products at discount prices.
Jill-E Bags This place makes the CUTEST camera bags ever! Sorry guys, but these are definitely for the girls. These camera bags, which range from point and shoot size to large enough for two full set-ups, do not even resemble normal bags but instead look like very stylish purses. Yes, I am begging for one for my B-day, but they do get pretty pricey.
Mpix They claim to be the online lab of choice of professional and advanced amateur photographers. Are they? I don't know the answer to that, but I do know they are pretty good. The site was personally recommended to me by a photographer friend. They have professional papers; only three chooses as compared to Adorama, but (with the exception of one) they are different papers. Which is least expensive depends on the quantity of prints you get. However, they do have specialty items that give them a plus. Ex.: picture mugs, trading cards, even puzzles and proof portfolios (*plus more!)!
KEH: the photographer's marketplace Humongous online photography store. They sell new and used equipment. They are very reliable, have low prices, and are honest about the state of their used merchandise. They will also BUY your used equipment.
Adorama Self described as, "Brick & mortar retail store, online emporium, go-to source for essentials, buyer & seller of used cameras & accessories--we are the expert, honest, value-priced sellers of all things photographic." Along with a huge inventory of photography equipment, they also have awesome deals on prints. (p.s. They have specials and sales all the time!)
Lensbabies If you haven't heard about the Lensbaby, then you have got to check this out. It's a pretty cool selective focus lens with awesome effects. It's sure to get your creative juices flowing! I don't have one yet, but I will soon...
